The short practical summary before the full legal wording.
• Drive Zone is a reminder and decision-support tool, not an official charging authority.
• Drivers remain responsible for checking official rules, vehicle details, payments, exemptions, penalties, and fines.
• Alerts, sync, and DVLA-backed lookups can be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or wrong.
• Official authority pages and records remain the final source of truth.
1. Agreement and scope
1. Agreement and scope
Who these terms are between and what they cover.
These terms are the End User Licence Agreement between you and I Squared R Consulting Ltd, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Drive Zone and its content. These terms govern your use of Drive Zone on Apple-branded products you own or control, subject to Apple's usage rules.
If there is any conflict between these terms and non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer law, your consumer rights continue to apply.
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you where Apple's standard App Store position allows.
2. Your licence to use the app
2. Your licence to use the app
The permission we give you.
• We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Drive Zone in object-code form on compatible Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple's usage rules.
• Where Apple's usage rules allow it, Drive Zone may also be accessed and used by other accounts associated with the purchaser through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
• You must not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, or misuse the app except where the law clearly allows it.
• You must comply with applicable law, Apple's App Store rules, and any third-party terms that apply to your device or network use.
3. What Drive Zone does and does not do
3. What Drive Zone does and does not do
The app is a driving aid, not an official charging authority.
Drive Zone is designed to help you notice when you may have entered a charging zone, keep a record of those entries, optionally sync selected records across your own devices, and review zone and vehicle information more easily.
Drive Zone is not an official source of legal, regulatory, or enforcement advice. It does not replace official charging authority websites, DVLA records, or legally binding notices.
The app may use local zone data, device permissions, optional iCloud sync, and optional DVLA lookup data to help assess a vehicle, but those assessments are informational and may be incomplete, outdated, delayed, or wrong.
4. Your responsibilities
4. Your responsibilities
What you still need to do as the driver or vehicle user.
• You are responsible for checking official vehicle details, registration information, emissions standards, exemptions, and any other compliance facts that matter to your journey.
• You are responsible for checking the official rules of any charging zone, including whether the zone applies to your vehicle, the hours of operation, the payment window, the amount due, and any exemptions or discounts.
• You are responsible for paying any required charges, fees, tolls, congestion charges, clean-air charges, penalties, fines, or enforcement costs in full and on time.
• You are responsible for reviewing the app's history, alerts, and vehicle information and not relying on a single app notification or status badge.
• You are responsible for manually reviewing your position if synced records or DVLA-backed details are missing, stale, or unavailable.
• You must use the app safely and lawfully. Do not interact with Drive Zone in a way that distracts you from driving.
5. Alerts, data, and service limitations
5. Alerts, data, and service limitations
The app can help, but it cannot guarantee a result.
• Alerts can be delayed, missed, duplicated, or suppressed by device settings, operating system behavior, connectivity issues, background execution limits, battery-saving behavior, reduced accuracy, or denied permissions.
• Optional iCloud sync, Apple iCloud or CloudKit services, any legacy migrated-account cleanup path, the vehicle lookup relay, and the DVLA service may each be unavailable, unhealthy, degraded, or delayed independently of the app itself.
• Synced records may arrive late, fail to refresh, or be temporarily unavailable on one or more devices.
• Vehicle data returned from a DVLA lookup may be unavailable, incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and some fields may still need manual confirmation.
• Relay readiness checks can pass and later degrade, or fail and later recover, without warning between checks.
• Zone data and payment information can change after an app release or after the data was last updated.
• Opening a payment link or official site does not mean a payment has been made. You remain responsible for completing the payment and checking any receipt or confirmation.
6. Premium and subscriptions
6. Premium and subscriptions
How optional paid access works.
Drive Zone has a free core experience and may also offer optional Premium access through Apple's App Store. Premium is not required to keep using the free core of the app.
• Premium features require an active entitlement recognised by the current app build and Apple's App Store framework.
• Apple handles billing, payment processing, renewals, cancellation, refunds where applicable, and restore flows under Apple's own terms, policies, and purchase systems.
• Where a free trial is offered, it applies only on the terms shown in the App Store at the time of sign-up and will convert into a paid subscription or renewal cycle unless you cancel in time through Apple.
• Subscription prices, billing periods, trial availability, and the exact Premium feature set can change before a purchase, renewal, or future release, subject to Apple's rules and any mandatory consumer rights.
7. Service access and entitlement changes
7. Service access and entitlement changes
What happens when Premium access is unavailable or ends.
• If Premium access ends, expires, is cancelled, is revoked, or cannot be confirmed, Premium-only features may stop working immediately or after the next entitlement refresh.
• The free core of Drive Zone can continue to operate without Premium, but Premium-only features such as iCloud sync, premium lookups, achievements, customisations, or other paid extras may become unavailable or limited according to the entitlement state recognised by the app.
• Loss of Premium access does not by itself mean that locally stored data is deleted from your device, although some Premium-managed or shared services may stop refreshing, syncing, or being editable in the same way.
• We are not responsible for entitlement delays, restore failures, billing-state mismatches, or App Store account issues caused by Apple systems, device state, connectivity, or delayed receipt processing.
8. No warranty and liability limits
8. No warranty and liability limits
These limits apply to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Drive Zone is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not promise that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, accurate, complete, or fit for your particular purpose.
We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent any warranty cannot be effectively disclaimed.
If Drive Zone fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price paid for the app to you, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever in relation to Drive Zone, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty will be our sole responsibility.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that, I Squared R Consulting Ltd will not be liable for missed or late alerts, incorrect vehicle classifications, incorrect compliance assessments, unpaid charges, penalties, fines, enforcement action, loss of profits, loss of business, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of or reliance on Drive Zone.
In particular, you remain solely responsible for checking official details of your vehicle, your legal obligations in each zone, and whether any payment, charge, fine, or penalty is due.
